Run/Walk at 9:00 am

Race will be run regardless of weather.

5k Walk/Run

1 mile Fun Walk

Suggestion:

Are you coming to the Memorial walk to represent someone? We welcome you! Please feel free to represent your loved one with a shirt, hat etc. We encourage groups or teams to attend.

Not only is the event to remember Daniel, we would also strongly encourage groups to remember loved ones they may have lost or provide hope to those who are dealing with a serious illness. You can represent your loved one in the following ways; buttons, T-shirts, hats or as far as your creativity will allow you to go. We will make mention of the loved ones that are most represented.

Continue providing a graduating Xenia High School senior with a $1,000 scholarship.

Safety Information:: All entrants must line up in the official start line area with the 5K RUNNERS first, JOGGERS second and WALKERS third. 1 Mile Fun Walk will be last. For safety reason all strollers and slower runners/walkers are to be to the right to allow others to safely pass. If help is needed, inform a volunteer at an aid station to call for help or assistance. For the safety of all participants, inline skates, bikes and pets are not allowed in this event.; Please come weather prepared.

This site was built to commemorate the life of Daniel W Shawver. On April 7th, 2005, we lost a husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. Daniel was diagnosed with Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or Malignant Liver Cancer in August 1999. After a very long and courageous battle, he succumbed to his illness at the age of 33.
